Nuits-St-Georges 1er cru Les Pruliers (0 ha 76 a 00 ca) An ideally located, superb plot facing south-east. It is next to the Roncières but the soil is different. It is stony with a little more clay. These differences can be felt in the wine. It is richer and fuller with plenty of ripe tannin. It often needs 10 years to open and can be kept for 30. It goes best with game, like venison. I have a wonderful recollection of a meal in Quebec where we ate prime roast moose and drank a mature bottle of Pruliers. |

KEY
Needs time
The number in the brackets
indicates how many hours the wine should
be decanted for before it is served. Very
young wine that needs to mature is often
enjoyable to taste when it is young and
fruity. Decant before serving.
